Curious Incident of the Dog at Night-Time: Reading Strategies and Cornell Notes
Currently we are on page 114. We are in the middle of our Cornell Notes #4.
My hope is to finish, Cornell Notes #4, pages 100-125, by the end of Monday, 1/28.
During our new bloc scheduling I will be breaking up our time with the beginning of the period learning new reading strategies as we read Curious Incident of the Dog at Night-Time and fill in our Cornell Notes.
I will post our daily readings if you miss one of our class sessions.
Improving our Structured Writing Skills
The other half of the bloc will be spent on improving our structured writing. we will begin with some timed writes and then work on revision in one to one conferencing. I am hopeful by the end of the three week period we have solid skills on the body paragraph especially with topic statements embedding and commentary.
These time writes will be sent directly to your google.drives with models to show you my expectations of each finished writing objective. The first timed structured writing assignment will be on Tuesday, 1/29. It will be one paragraph on the character, Christopher Boone and choose one of the themes presented for a theme analysis paragraph from our current novel, Curious Incident of the Dog at Night-Time.
