The mini-book Projects are finished, the last one was due today Mini-Book Project #7. However, you still need to finish your novel. Please make sure you have your novel completed when we return from Spring Break.

Learning Goal for Creative Writing Session #3 (3/27-4/23): I will show my expertise in writing creatively in a variety of forms. I will pay close attention to word choice incorporating my 100 SAT words I have learned this year.
Session #3—One entry—same subject—2000 words, but no more than 10,000 words. We will only have one turn-in date, at the end of the period on: Thursday, April 23nd to TURNITIN.com We will be having 4 sessions, every Thursday for the next 4 Thursdays: today; 4/2; 4/16; 4/23. There will be participation points for each composing session, 20 points. Monday, 3/23/2015: SAT 51-100 Vocabulary FINAL
Tuesday, 3/24/2015: TKM, Chapter 2 and study guide notes Homework: Do not forget to fill out your registration packet for Wednesday. Wednesday, 3/25/2015: Computerized Registration for your 10th grade year 2015-2016. Thursday, 3/26/2015: Creative Writing New Session #1 of #4. Entire piece will be turned in after 4th writing day. Each Thursday we will be composing our Creative Writing Stories, for the next 4 Thursdays. Due: April 24th (Remember we have Spring Break). 2000 words=A; 1500 words=B; 1000 words =C. Friday, 3/27/2015: TKM Chapter 3 and study Guide notes.Final Mini-Book Project #7 due, Books need to be completed by , Wednesday, April 1st, 2015. Weekend Homework: Please read TKM Chapter 4, and fill in study guide notes. Monday, 3/16: Introduction to To Kill a Mockingbird--Study Guide Packet and Book distributed; also 51-100 Review guide distributed for Vocabulary Final on Monday, 3/23. Celebration of 100% SAT Students 51-100 and 91-100. Tuesday, 3/17: TKM (To Kill a Mockingbird), Chapter One read and analyzed. Chapter One Study Guide Questions completed. Wednesday, 3/18: SAT Vocabulary Game 50-75, Team's compete in reviewing SAT words 51-75 for preparation for SAT FINAL 51-100, Monday 3/23. Thursday, 3/19: Video Presentation of the trial of the Scottsboro Boys, this true story inspired the fictitious trial Harper Lee created in TKM. This trial fostered a landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision on how juries are selected to create equality for all races.
Friday, 3/20: SAT Vocabulary Game 76-100, Team's compete in reviewing SAT words 76-100 for preparation for SAT FINAL 51-100, Monday 3/23.Mini- Book Project #6--I will not accept late entries. Weekend Homework: 1. Study SAT Vocabulary Review Sheets 51-100, Final on Monday 3/23. 2. Please read your novel, entire novel due 4/1/2015, Wednesday. Monday, 3/9/2015: We are working in our groups filming our Romeo and Juliet Videos. This will be the last day of filming.
Tuesday, 3/10/2015: Today we are editing our film using iMovie or Pinnacle; making it flow for your presentation to the class on Wednesday. Wednesday, 3/11/2015: Presentations to class of Group Romeo and Juliet on Apple TV. Thursday, 3/12/2015: Mini-Book Project #5 Compose and Reading Personal Novel. I would like to see a lot more effort on these Mini-Book Projects. There should be a lot more detail and effort in your summaries, art, and written projects. Friday, 3/13/2015: SAT Vocabulary Quiz, 91-100. Mini-Book Project #5 due. All Past Due Mini-book Projects due on Friday, 3/13/2015! No exceptions! |
